What began more than 45 years ago as a small tavern created to employ a group of young people in Madrid next to the Royal Theatre, today is a unique business group with more than 500 employees, 10 restaurants, a catering and event management line, three catering schools, an online catering school and a school.

In addition to Taberna del Alabardero in Seville, the Lezama Group has other Tabernas del Alabardero in Madrid (the parent company), Alabardero Beach Club in Marbella, Taberna del Alabardero in Washington DC, Taberna del Alabardero in Pozuelo (Madrid) and the latest opening in Seville with Alabardero River Club. Other establishments of the Lezama Group are La Botillería and Café de Oriente. For events, Alabardero Catering & Experiences provides services to companies and individuals who want to organise a unique celebration.

The Lezama Group defends the professionalisation of the catering sector through its three schools: the Higher School of Catering in Seville, the School of Catering in Madrid and Alabardero Formación Costa del Sol.

The Taberna del Alabardero in Seville is also home to the ESHS, and our kitchens are open to students to complete their academic studies with practical experience so that they can enter the job market with a great competitive advantage on their CVs.
